Monte Vista Historic District

Monte Vista is a Midtown San Antonio neighborhood just north of downtown, running from near San Antonio College at Ashby Place north to Hildebrand Avenue. It is part of the City of San Antonio. Much of its historic development dates to approximately 1890 to 1930. The city designated it a local historic district in 1975, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Trinity University and San Antonio College are nearby.

Olmos Park

Olmos Park is an independent city in the San Antonio area, incorporated in 1939. It developed as a residential community in the 1920s. Part of the area that became Olmos Park contained Camp John Wise, a World War I military balloon-training school. Check the municipal boundary map and routes for each property.

Terrell Hills

Terrell Hills is its own city, incorporated in 1939, about 5 miles northeast of downtown. It began in 1919, when Frederick Terrell sold land to a private association. JBSA-Fort Sam Houston is to its east.

Schools

Alamo Heights ISD serves Olmos Park and parts of Terrell Hills. Use current district boundary tools to check the district and assigned campuses for each property, including properties in Monte Vista. School district lines do not necessarily match city lines, so always confirm the school assignment for a specific address with the district.
